个人简介：
Dr. Adriana Palacios is a full-time professor in the Department of Chemical, Food and Environmental Engineering at the University of the Americas, Puebla, Mexico. In 2011 she obtained a doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Catalonia, Spain, with the distinction summa cum laude and European doctorate. During the period 2006-2012, she was part of the Research Staff of the Technological Risk Studies Center of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. During the period 2012-2014, she was in charge of the project Experimental Studies and mathematical and computational modeling of dart fires, as Research Personnel of the School of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Leeds, UK. Dr. Palacios, a member of the Royal Society of London of the UK National Academy, is the author of several scientific publications, international refereed journals with a high impact factor, and international conferences.
Dr. Palacios has conducted several research stays at the State Key Laboratory of Fire Science of the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, Anhui, China, Department of Chemical Engineering and Material Science of the Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, and the Facilities Council, UK. Department of Computational Science and Engineering of the Daresbury Laboratory of the Science and Technology.
Dr. Palacios has been a recipient of several national and international awards. She recently won the Excellence Award for best article and presentation at the Seventh International Seminar on Fire and Explosion Hazards, held in Providence, USA in May 2013.
